Good morning everyone. Wow, it is a cold one out there for sure! Right now it is -11. I can't bring myself to go out and let everyone out just yet. I thought I would wait for a little while before starting chores. It makes me wonder how all of the little animals out there can make it through a night with temps this cold. I hope all of our animals are alive and well. Bear (our new dog) is adujusting good. He sleeps with me on my bed every night. Once he gets to sleep he stays sleeping all night. No more accidents in the house for him. The cats are adjusting ok to him. Our house is still on the market and we have had no offers or showings. Jeff and I want to move in the worst way. Maybe in the Spring house's will start selling and we can get out of here. We are still accepting donations for hay, sweet feed and layer pellets. If you want to help us out please click on the contact us tab from the home page.

Hello everyone. We have a new addition to our family. His name is Bear. He is a 17 month old Mini Poodle. Today makes his second day here. He is adjusting fine to his new home. I am not sure how to upload a picture of him on this site (Jeff never showed me how to do that). I will ask him to upload one for everyone to see. It is a very cold and windy night out side. It is 28 outside but with the high wind it feels like -20! All of our animals are locked inside and are warm in their hay beds. It was not fun doing this tonight when I got home from work but it had to be done. Jeff, all of our animals and I send you thoughts of a Happy New year and hope that 2012 is good for both you and us.

I woke up this morning to a nice temp of 48. Most of the snow here has melted and the rain has cleaned alot. The animals seem to be enjoying the nice weather while it lasts. There is not much to report for events. All the animals are doing good. Everyone is waiting for Spring. Chores are so much easier to do when you can pull a water hose around with you. One of our friends (Jim) donated a gift card to the farm for Christmas. That was very nice of him. It's been so long since we have had any donations. The other day we got another anonymous donation from someone giving us a gift card to Home Depot. We want to send a big Thank You out to both people. Jeff and I wish you a Happy New Year. Let's all hope 2012 is a better year.

Good morning everyone. It is an over cast day here at the farm. The temp is 30, much warmer than it has been. I know we are not to far into the Winter season however the animals didn't like the temps when they went into the teens at night. Jeff and I are not enjoying the frozen water buckets at all :( It is so much quicker to do chores in the Spring and Summer when you can pull a hose and refill waters. Jeff fixed some fence yesterday. The goats push on it and eventually break the ties holding the fence where they connect to the post. We are going through more and more hay with the cooler temps here. Right now we are using about 7 bales a day. I wanted to take a few pictures of Sam with a Christmas wreath around his neck for Christmas letters but he would not allow that :( Darm him! It would have been a very cute picture. Please remember, if you visit this site, before you leave please click on the contact us tab and send an e mail so we know you were here. It's always nice to hear from people who visit our farm site.

I will always remember my girl Cassie. She had so much fun on the farm. She was always out with me when I was working with the other animals.

We woke up to the view of snow flakes covering the ground. We are getting a big snow storm here at W.T.F. Chores are done and everyone is eating their breakfast. The horses went out for a while but are back inside now. They enjoy rolling in the fresh snow. Jeff took some pictures this morning. I know many of you have been asking for new updated pictures. I will try to stay on him until he post them.

The morning started out nice and sunny here at the farm. I was watching the sun rise and with in minutes the weather changed. The clouds came in and it is starting to rain here. It looks like it is going to be a wet day to trim the goat's hoofs as well as work trimming the horse's hoofs. The duck's did good in their new area last night. They are now in the light so no more darkness for them.

Today was a productive day at WTF. My father and Jim came over to help us. Jim, my fahter and I headed off to Canaan to pick up two truck loads of hay. Jim & my father the two trucks. I drove mine and my father drove his. We came home and Jeff, Jim and my father unloaded the hay into the hay building. After that two duck pens were moved along w/ their housing. They are now in a safe location as well as a much dryer area. They are now next to the horses. Sunday is hoof trim day for both the horses as well as the goats. From all of the animals as well as Jeff and I, we hope you have a great weekend and are healthy!

Good evening everyone. I thought I would post to the blog and give you an update about the farm before I head off to bed and get some sleep. This summer one of our friends closed his pet shop. He had a male and a female double headed yellow amazon pair. Jeff and decided to give them a home here on the farm as no one wanted them :( About 4 weeks ago the female (Abby) laid a few eggs in a big nest box that we placed inside the cage. Between Abby & Sam (the male) they have done a great job and I think we are about to have a few little ones. Jeff seems to think that one might have already hatched. Check back on this blog if you want to know for sure if the little ones have hatched.

Good morning everyone. It is a cool start to the day here on the farm. The temp is 26 out. Crisp morning out there. The animals are ready to have their breakfast and then go out and wait for the sunshine. We had a pack of coyotes come through last night. They didn't stick around the farm to long. No one was hurt but did get a little upset while they were here. Please view our wish list if you have a few exrta minutes and consider picking an item off the list if you would be so kind and willing to help.

Hello everyone. This is my first time doing the blog on my own. Jeff showed me how to do it after all these years! :)
I will start by telling you about our little hen. She hatched six chicks out about three weeks ago. We moved her into the garage with her own little cage and heat lamp. Her babies are doing great. I will try to post some pictures of them very soon. Jeff and I have had it rough here on the farm over the past month. I had to have an operation on my left shoulder on 10/12/2011. Since then it has been a challange for Jeff because I am unable to help as much as I did. My father has been here twice a day and is doing a great job with the horses as well as the other animals. He has been a huge help to us and the animals. In the Spring of 2011 our friend Brian gave us two horses. Their names are Ruby and Grown. They are good girls however, Jeff is not to comfortable interacting with them. They are truely mine 100 %. They bring me so much joy! Ruby and I started with classes this past July for ground work. We were just starting to learn ridding and then I had to go in for my operation so that put and end to that for 2011. The ducks are doing great. Jeff and I picked up some new ones this Spring. They are already starting to lay eggs, however that will be short lived because of the short days and cooler weather. Sam is growing up to be a big boy now. He is strong and head strong. Jeff has taken many good bites from him. I brough the turkeys back home in the spring and they are giong to be with me until the end. Tom is such a nice looking tom. Jeff has become very close to the two rabbits we have. He enjoys giving them treats and talking to them. All of our little goats are doing great. If we had a better set up and larger place for them to kid in we would be breeding them as this is the time of year to do that. The farm is up for sale once again. we are going to be taking all of our animals with us to the new place when the time comes. We are not sure where we will end up or where we will go. It is time we make some changes in our life and a move is in store. I do invite you to send us feed back through the website. It's nice to know that our work here on the site is being noticed. I am going to try to update this site often.

Hello Everyone... It has been a very long time since I have updated the Website cause I got really discouraged with no one commenting on it so put it on hold. But figured tonight I would try to update it. Since last October when I last updated it alot has changed. We lost two Indian Runner Ducks, a Chicken and we had to have our Beloved Tina May (Horse) laid to rest in early March after she laid down one night for the last time and just could not get back up again. It was a tough decision to make but we were left with no choice. Then the following day we had a local Contractor come in and Bury her on the back of the Property where we intend to make a memorial garden in her memory. A few weeks later Michael took on two new Horses, they are His and I do not intend to have any involvement with them at all. Aside from that everyone else on the Farm is doing Great. We bought back our 3 Turkeys that we sold last Fall.

Hey everyone... I know it has been a very long time since I have updated the Blog but been very busy this summer and not feeling all that well. All the Animals are doing fine still, we gave got rid of 10 Muscovy Ducks and the Turkeys are gone but everyone else is still here. Still so much to do around here before the snow flies, I sure hope I can get it all done before the white crap comes to stay. Got a new Kubota BX 2660 to make life easier on the Farm so between Mikes bad shoulders and my back and knee we should be in good shape now. This is going to be short but will try to get back in the swing of things and update everything...
