About Us
We (Jeff & Michael) ever since moving up here to Central Maine have wanted to have a Small Hobby Farm of our own.  We have talked about getting Goats since we first met back in 1993 but Jeff living in York, ME could not have them cause of Zoning and Michael did not have room for them.  We began at our Home in Canaan, ME by getting Standard Chickens and kept them as Pets and for the Fresh Egg's.  How we have expanded since that time, come on in and read up and check out the pics and see how much we have added.

Then a year later we moved to Norridgewock, ME and again talked about getting Goats.  We did not do it the First year but then the second year here I began doing research and we visited some farms but again did not get any.  Then we began thinking about it alot in January of 2007 and in February Jeff locked onto two Nigerian Dwarf wethers at a Farm in Benton, ME and placed a Deposit on them.  We picked them up a week after Easter and were in love.  Since that time we have added Two Pygmy Doe's and most recently added another Nigerian Dwarf Wether and we also brought home two white Silkie Bantams.

2008 is going to be an exciting year at Wagging Tails Farm with many new Additions!!! We are very excited about this and hoping we will be moving too into a new place!!

Well it is 2008 and so far this year we have added 2 Sheep, 3 Nigerian Dwarf Doe's, a Nigerian Dwarf Buck and a Nigerian Dwarf Wether, 2 Rabbits and 4 Guinea Keets.  Still want a Mini Donkey and some Turkeys.  In August two of our Goats kidded with 4 Doe's and 2 Buck's too.

Also during 2008 some Animals left us.  We sold 3 Runner Ducks, all 6 Pekin Ducks, Many Standard and Bantam Chickens and then of course we lost our Beloved Rosie Girl to Accidental Death when she got tangled in her hay bag and hung herself.

So far during the first part of "2009" we have Sold the 2 Sheep Rose & Jane, I gave my Friend Kathy my 4 Guinea Fowl and we have taken in a new Bantam Rooster who shortly after had some fun with his new Wife and brought us 7 new Chicks and now July 25th she brought us 11 more chicks.

"2009" is bringing Wonderful Changes to Wagging Tails Farm.  We are relocating to a place with alot more land and privacy for us and the animals.  We plan on taking everyone with us if we can or we may cut back some.  We are very excited about this move.  We decided to down size a bit and I gave my 4 Guinea Hens to my Friend Kathy and Michael decided to sell the Sheep to two Wonderful People Suzanne and Joe from Stetson and they have a Wonderful Home with them now.  We are now Located in Madison, Maine and have alot more land but am looking to down size where Animals are concerned.  We are settling in over time.

Well it is "September 2009" and we just added a Jack Miniature Donkey and 2 Royal Palm Turkeys and a Bronze Turkey.

Tina a Retired Race Horse has arrived on Oct 10, 09 as a Companion Horse...

Nov 8th we brought home a Flop Eared Rabbit and two Standard Chickens from Campbell Farm in Sangerville...

"2010" is here now and we are not sure what will happen this year.  We hope to Replace the Goat Pens with one Big New one to house them all.  I want to build one New Pen that will be Seperated but House the Turkeys and Ducks and Rabbits and I really want to get a new Chicken Coop Built or buy one from Hill View and get 12-24 Good Laying Hens.

So far for "2010" we added Three Muscovy Ducks (2 Hens and one Drake).  On March 21st we added Two Rabbits each with just one Ear.  We do not intend on bringing anymore Animals to the Farm, if anything we want to cut back on what we have.

Well here it is July 13, 2010 and we are now cutting back on Animals.  We placed 3 of our 4 Rabbits into a Great Home and 9 of our Roosters as well.  Today July 26, 2010 the Three Turkeys and their House & Coop went to their new Home down in Belfast.

August 22nd one of our Missing Bantam Hens strolled back into the Yard with two Chicks in tow, very unexpected...  Then on August 24th I Purchased Michael two White Silkies which he named Hansel & Gretel.

"2011" Brought us many tears and some joy as well.  Tina May had to be laid to rest and was buried just a short distance from her barn.  Soon after two of her Friends from Campbell Farm in Sangerville, ME came to live with us.  They were Pasture Mates of Tina's Ruby and Groan two beautiful Horses Michael Adopted.  Then in the early Spring we adopted some Silky Chickens and a couple Pekin Ducks and our beloved Turkey's Tom, Roberta, Edna came back to the Farm to live out their lives and are doing great.  October 19th we had 6 Bantam Chicks hatch out and I am looking for some more rabbits too.
